MORE ABOUT ME

Rob Gramer

See that guy with the stupid grin on his face? That's me the day I got my black belt... a day I feared would never happen.

You see, while a brown belt I quit training because of debilitating back pain. It kept me off the mats for five years. I tried everything to fix it... including back surgery. But that failed too. And the pain kept getting worse until I learned this simple fact about BJJ.

Jiu jitsu causes sports specific injuries, just like every other sport.

Runners get shin splints.Tennis players get tennis elbow. And jiu jitsu injures your spine in a very specific (but fixable) way.

After I discovered this, everything changed. Within 30 days, I was back on the mats training. And today - as a 44-year old black belt - I train 4-times a week, WITHOUT chiropractors, ice baths, pills or any ‘pain-management’ techniques whatsoever.

It's something doctors said would NEVER happen. In fact, they recommended a 2nd surgery after my first surgery failed. But thanks to what I discovered that never happened.

In other words, I'm living proof defeating back pain IS possible. Furthermore, I’m living proof a back injury does NOT mean you are crippled for life. If you know WHY jiu jitsu injures your spine, you can fix it and come back stronger than ever.
